Driver Check in

Pay: $17.50/hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 11:00am - 7:30pm (daily quit times may vary based on driver returns)

About the Role

Food and food service delivery Drivers fulfill a critical role in the country’s food supply chain. Our delivery drivers not only ensure customers’ products arrive at their destination on time and in good condition, but they are also the face of our company—building lasting relationships with customers.

As a Coordinator, Driver Check-In, you will play a vital role in ensuring drivers are checked in accurately and all returned products are processed accordingly. You will communicate and interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers professionally, ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. You will function as a team member within the department and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Responsibilities

• Help offload trucks returning from routes.
• Check in drivers’ paperwork as well as any checks picked up from accounts.
• Palletize, tag, and move returned products to the dry room for processing.
• Ensure all refrigerated/frozen product returned from same-day delivery is handled and stored properly.
• Sort and palletize empty totes and crates and stage them for warehouse distribution to pick lines.
• Maintain accurate forms and logs.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills.
• Able to stand and/or walk 90% of the shift.
• Safely lift and stack totes up to six high, frequently lift and/or move light and heavy totes/product, and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Operate a manual pallet jack to move pallets of merchandise (opportunity to obtain powered industrial truck certification will be provided).
• Must be able to read and write in English.
• Familiar with Microsoft Outlook for email purposes.
• Strong attention to detail.
