Driver CDL Class-A/Tour Manager
About the role
The Driver CDL Class-A / Tour Manager is responsible for safely transporting Brewco Marketing Group and program/tour assets to various locations within the United States, assisting with the set up and tear down of each event activation, serving as a program brand ambassador during event activations, and providing general assistance during event activations. They also coordinate safe and successful event activations.
Responsibilities
- Agrees to always represent Brewco Marketing Group and BMG clients, in a manner consistent with each company’s morals, values, and ethics.
- Maintains a healthy and respectful attitude in dealing with client and program contacts within and outside of Brewco Marketing Group.
- Ensures the safety of the driver, passenger(s), truck, trailer, and any other assets.
- Complies with all federal, state, and local transportation laws, rules, and regulations.
- Transports truck or tractor and trailer (up to 53’) to locations within the United States, primarily throughout the state of Tennessee.
- Checks vehicle(s) to ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working condition.
- Conveys needed maintenance to supervisor and reports accordingly.
- Inspects load(s) to ensure cargo is secure for transport utilizing items such as straps, ropes, blocks, chains, binders, covers, and other miscellaneous tie-down equipment as needed.
- Maintains open communication lines among BMG supervisor(s) and tour staff.
- Fulfills policies, procedures, and safety guidelines for program/tour assets and staff.
- Researches event location(s), plans for parking and area of event activation, and ensures safe ingress and egress for site location.
- Participates in scheduled events, as required.
- Ledges a safe and efficient set-up of the event activation, provides leadership on activation days, and leads the tear-down of all elements (including electrical and audio) associated with the interior and exterior of the display trailer(s).
- Able to lead all functions of the program’s tour, as necessary.
- Onsite and active for all event activations, setup, and teardown days.
- Ensures generator and HVAC units are in proper working order. Troubleshoots issues as they arise.
- Maintains and respects the protocol of communication.
- Works to ensure DOT compliance, insurance protocol and travel oversight.
- Monitors scheduling conflicts for events, equipment, and technology.
- Safeguards all elements of the program and provides feedback as needed.
- Provides direct communication with BMG supervisor on program status (to include, but not be limited to, program problems, delays, inclement weather, breakdowns, maintenance issues, schedule conflicts, staff issues, program success stories, etc.).
- Maintains records essential for control, evaluation, and reporting to appropriate supervisors.
- Recommends to BMG supervisor new program ideas to better serve and achieve program’s objectives.
- All other duties assigned.
Basic Tasks
- Completes pre-trip and post-trip paperwork.
- Records mileage logs.
- Attaches and detaches trailer.
- Loads and unloads necessary equipment.
- Makes necessary repairs and maintenance when needed.
- Fuels the truck or tractor and generator(s).
- Works as a team and is willing to follow directions from others and apply them to assigned tasks.
- Assists visitors through event activation and ensures guests have a safe and positive experience.
- Keeps event activation area neat while working and returns items to correct storage locations.
- Transports, assembles, and disassembles materials used in presentations.
- Communicates policy, procedures, and information to tour staff.
- Confirms proper insurance protocol and provides travel oversight.
- Works with BMG Supervisor to ensure program budget compliance as needed.
- Be engaging, friendly, and professional.
- Work well with Brewco Marketing Group employees and program and/or tour clients.
- Must be able to lift objects of at least seventy-five (75) pounds.
- Must be able to work at elevated levels of 5 feet or higher using ladders or catwalks.

Education and Experience
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – Class A required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- 5+ years’ experience with driving larger assets (Semi tractor and 53’ trailer) preferred.
- 3+ years’ experience with experiential marketing and/or mobile tours preferred.
- Additional skills and experience in marketing, client interaction, or technical skills as well as military veterans with service in logistics and transportation support would be an added plus for consideration.
- Ability to lift objects of at least seventy-five (75) pounds.
