Driver, CDL Class A

Summary/Objective

A class A CDL driver is responsible for transporting different types of equipment from distribution centers to customer locations using a truck. They are also required to perform inspections before and after a trip and unload cased products from the trailer to customer facilities. These drivers also follow appropriate safety procedures to transport dangerous cargo and maintain logs of vehicle repair status and working hours.

Essential Functions

• Complete company paperwork as required, enter equipment quantity count when loading and unloading vehicles
• Participate in the loading and unloading of equipment from vehicle
• Restock equipment correctly and according to standards set forth by the working location
• Maintain, configure orders, clean and maintain of company equipment and resources
• Aid in general maintenance of rental equipment such as lighting, grip, power distribution
• Bring equipment up to factory specifications before returning to stock
• Operate assigned warehouse equipment-handling machines in compliance with safety standards and as set forth by the company
