About the role
The Driver (Straight Truck)/Class B Delivery Driver will be responsible for a route of stops daily. Deliveries require unloading the product via hand, pallet jack, and dolly and delivering the merchandise to the customer-designated location. The essential aspects of this position are delivering products and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 24’ box truck of 26,000 pounds of gross vehicle weight (GVW)
- Load and unload cargo via hand, manual pallet jack, and lift gate
- Properly track and document the activity log
- Report any issues or incidents to dispatch
- Inspect the truck before and after each trip
- Communicate with customers with an outgoing, positive attitude
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license
- Must be able to pass a DOT Medical Exam
- Good driving record
- 1 year of recent CDL B experience
- 1 year of route delivery experience
- 1 year of manual pallet jack and hand truck experience
- Lift gate experience
- Ability to handle physical workload (lift 50+ pounds comfortably and unassisted)
- Strong work ethic
Schedule
Monday - Friday from 6:00am to 3:00pm, or until the daily route is completed.
