About the role
We are looking for a reliable, safety-focused Class A CDL Delivery Driver to join our team in Colorado Springs. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of manufactured metal products from our production facility to customer and vendor locations.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial motor vehicles in support of shipping and receiving operations
- Load and unload truck independently using a pallet jack
- Verify load accuracy against invoices and shipping documentation
- Secure cargo using straps, chains, binders, or other approved devices
- Conduct and document pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Complete Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs)
- Maintain Hours of Service logs and complete paper logs when required
- Utilize Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs)
- Complete bills of lading and proof of delivery documentation
- Maintain cleanliness and care of assigned vehicle
- Report delays, mechanical issues, accidents, or safety concerns immediately
Safety & Compliance
- Comply with all FMCSA and DOT regulations
- Subject to DOT drug and alcohol testing requirements
- Subject to FMCSA Clearinghouse regulations
- Report all accidents, citations, injuries, or vehicle damage immediately
- Cooperate with accident investigations and insurance reviews
- Operate vehicles equipped with GPS and telematics systems
- Driver will not operate vehicles in inclement weather where snow chains are required
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum six (6) years driving experience required
- Valid Colorado CDL Class A required
- Air Brakes endorsement required
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record meeting insurability standards
- Current DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate required
- Background check, MVR check, and drug screen are required
