Driver

About the role

Delivery drivers provide excellent customer service through the safe and efficient delivery of parts and products to customers using a company-provided vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver auto/truck parts to customers in a company vehicle.
• Maintain a positive attitude and deliver unparalleled customer service.
• Check outgoing deliveries for accuracy before delivery.
• Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.
• Ensure efficient deliveries by quality-checking orders to get products to customers.
• Responsible for the cleanliness and standard maintenance of delivery vehicles and observing company safety procedures.
• Report any malfunctions of company vehicles immediately.
• May assist warehouse associates with pulling orders, loading orders, cleaning, and other miscellaneous tasks.
• Stock products, load products for shipping, and perform order selection within the warehouse.
• Stock product from vendors, store returns, and warehouse transfers.
• Organize delivery schedule to maximize efficiency and post it for contact availability.
• Utilize company software/technology to record deliveries, returns, pickups, and optimize routing.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• Exerting up to 75 pounds of force repetitively and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
• Able to push/pull up to 300 lbs using mechanical aids, such as hand trucks, barrel dollies, or hydraulic lifts.
• Bending, twisting, squatting, climbing, pushing, pulling, stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, and moving at a quick pace are required.
• Talking, hearing, and seeing with close visual acuity are frequently required.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 and have a valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR) per department standards.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug test, and pre-employment background check.
• Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• A high school diploma and/or GED is required.
• Basic computer skills.
