Responsibilities
- Provides timely and courteous transportation for residents to and from various activities.
- Assists disabled passengers into and out of vehicle.
- Safely operates radio, cell phone or pager to communicate with base station or other vehicles.
- Sets up and secures passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices.
- Maintains all community vehicles in good working condition.
- Cleans and services vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.
- Affords assistance with vehicle registration and license plates renewal process.
- Inspects and documents vehicle condition on a monthly and per trip basis.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Current commercial driver’s license (CDL) may be required with an acceptable driving record.
- Experience in customer service environment, preferably in a senior living setting.
- Knowledgeable of all safety precautions and compliance with safety measures.
- Competent in organization, time management skills, and handling multiple priorities.
