Driver
About the role
LifeCare is expanding and seeking full‑time and part‑time drivers to provide patient transportation to and from medical appointments and healthcare facilities. The driver also assists EMTs with moving and transporting patients in both emergent and non‑emergent settings.
The position requires an Emergency Vehicle Operators Certification (EVOC) rather than a CDL. LifeCare provides the EVOC course free for full‑time employees; part‑time hires or those not onboarded are charged a small fee. The hybrid EVOC course consists of online modules completed at the driver’s own pace, followed by an in‑person range and skills check and a cognitive exam. Range sessions are held monthly. All required certifications can be obtained through LifeCare with the applicant’s DMV record.
