About the role

LifeCare is growing due to recent expansions and is seeking qualified employees for full‑time and part‑time driver positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient transportation to and from medical appointments and healthcare facilities.
• Assist EMTs with moving and transporting patients in emergent and non‑emergent settings.
• Operate vehicles requiring Emergency Vehicle Operators Certification (EVOC) rather than a CDL.
• Complete LifeCare’s EVOC training (hybrid online modules, in‑person range/skills check, cognitive exam; range conducted monthly).

Qualifications

• All required certifications can be obtained through LifeCare with a provided DMV record.
• Must be at least 21 years old to operate ambulances and emergency/transport vehicles.

Requirements

• Certified EVOC Operator (can be obtained through LifeCare EVOC program).
• Current CPR – HealthCare Provider level (can be obtained through LifeCare).
• Valid Virginia Driver’s License with no negative points.
• Minimum age of twenty‑one.
• Pass a criminal background check.
• FEMA ICS 100, 200, 700 & 800c (available free via FEMA website).
• HAZMAT certification (available free via FEMA website).
• PASS Certification (can be provided by LifeCare).
