Driver

At Piedmont Health Senior Care, we are dedicated to enhancing the lives of seniors in our community through our Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). We help seniors maintain their independence and continue living at home for as long as possible by offering comprehensive, personalized healthcare and related services, all tailored to the unique needs and aspirations of each senior we serve. Our participant-centered approach integrates and coordinates all aspects of care through a team of dedicated doctors, nurses, therapists, dieticians, and other specialized professionals.

About the role

The primary responsibility of the Driver is to transport physically limited passengers to and from their destinations. This position requires constant interaction with caregivers and community agencies and may include performing patient care activities and assistance with personal care needs as needed.

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent
• 1 year experience transporting or caring for individuals with special mobility needs or impaired adults
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Valid NC Driver’s License and an acceptable three-year motor vehicle record as defined by the Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) Chart
• Class B or C with passenger endorsement preferred, but not required
• Must meet a standardized set of competencies for the specific position description established by PHSC and approved by CMS before working independently
• Be medically cleared for communicable diseases and have all immunizations up-to-date prior to beginning employment

Pay

$17.66/Hourly - $23.74/Hourly (commensurate with years of experience)

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
