Responsibilities
- Drives a motor vehicle up to 26,001 pounds gross vehicle weight (VW) on public highways to transport non-hazardous materials or equipment.
- Loads and/or unloads the vehicle as needed or required.
- Ship goods from the warehouse to include:
- Prepare records of goods shipped and prepare bills of lading.
- Post weight and shipping charges.
- Keep files of shipping records.
- Verify correctness of shipments against bills of lading, invoices, etc.
- Receive incoming shipments of merchandise or other materials:
- Keep records of goods received.
- Routinely route goods to the proper departments.
- Record items shipped and received using bar code readers, computer terminals or other electronic devices.
- May include material handling - Kit items for assembly department, participate in inventory cycle counts, report damaged goods and shortages.
- Perform preventative maintenance duties as required.
- Maintain high level of integrity in dealing with all departments within the organization
- Identify process improvements.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Requires a valid driver’s license and clean driving record. A driving abstract from the department of licensing must be acquired by the employee and provided to management when requested.
- Forklift certification required. This certification can be obtained and maintained in-house.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, time management and follow-up skills.
- Basic experience in PC skills (Microsoft Office-Excel, Word).
- A team player who can handle working under pressure in a fast-paced environment, with a sense of urgency.
- A quality oriented individual with a hands-on, “do it right the first time” attitude.
- Must be able to maintain good attendance and punctuality.
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Minimum of 1 year in Aerospace Manufacturing environment.
