Full Time OTR Summary

About the Role

Omega Morgan is seeking experienced heavy haul and regular CDL drivers in our Portland, Salt Lake City, and Houston locations. Ideal candidates should have rigging experience with a Class A CDL and be comfortable learning new rigging techniques.

Responsibilities

• Plan and organize all loads and trips to maximize time and resources.
• Work in cooperation with Operations and dispatch to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch on a regular basis.
• Manage risk and liability from the field and report issues to the operations team.
• Drive up to ten hours a day, adhering to all federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations.
• Maintain vehicles and equipment and report on machinery.
• Conduct pre and post-trip checks.

Requirements

• 3 years of CDL driving experience, with heavy haul experience preferred.
• A valid Class A CDL and current DOT Medical Card.
• LCV card, doubles, and triples endorsement preferred.
• Familiarity with DOT Federal and State regulations on oversize transportation.
• Ability to read and process permits and paperwork.
• Experience tying equipment down per DOT requirements.
• Available to work 40 hours a week with overtime and travel when necessary.
• Prompt and reliable with excellent organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and anticipate issues.
• Experience in machinery moving, rigging, and other industrial work preferred, but not required.

Qualifications

Candidates must be available to travel 50% of the time, for up to five months at a time.
