North Country Community Mental Health supports staff members with tuition reimbursement and various state and federal programs designed to help cover the costs of education. Details on these programs can be found below:- Tuition Reimbursement: Available at the discretion of management, based on degree sought, potential of continued employment, length of service, and availability of funds.
- Michigan Reconnect: Free in-district tuition for earning an associate degree or Pell-eligible skill certificate.
- Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF): Full-time employment by a qualifying employer, 120 qualifying payments on student loan debt.
- MI Kids Now Loan Repayment Program (MKN LRP): Up to $300,000 in income-tax free funds for up to 10 years of service.
- State of Michigan Loan Repayment Program (MSLRP): Up to $300,000 in income-tax free funds for up to 10 years of service.
- National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Loan Repayment Program: Up to $50,000 full-time and $25,000 part-time for 2-year service commitments.
