Driver

Responsibilities

• Delivers a variety of items to recipients for the purpose of distributing items from internal or external sources over scheduled and/or unscheduled routes to assigned locations and/or individuals.
• Ensures products are delivered in a timely manner.
• Loads, unloads, and organizes product inventory into your vehicle throughout the day.
• Reviews orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete.
• Aids in receiving stock and non-stock items for the purpose of ensuring specifications, quantity, and quality of orders are correct.
• Takes responsibility of and safely secures the product.
• Follows scheduled route for daily deliveries.
• Inspects delivery vehicles daily (e.g., checking fluid levels, fueling, cleaning, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring safe operation of vehicle.
• Fulfills Department of Transportation regulations by obeying traffic laws and safety procedures.
• Completes and maintains records (e.g., delivery log, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities and providing reliable resource information.
• Answers telephones in a timely and professional manner to assist customers.
• Conducts self in a professional and ethical manner at all times and treats everyone with courtesy and respect.
• Maintains appropriate licensing, credentials, and acceptable driving record.
• Keeps vehicles organized, clean, and tidy.

Qualifications, Skills And Experience

• Must be age 21 or older.
• Valid Class B CDL driver’s license.
• Must have a current Motor Vehicle Report that represents a history of safe and competent driving.
• Passes a criminal background check, drug screen, physical performance test, driving test on company equipment.
• Proficient at driving and parking large vehicles.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds comfortably.
• Experience using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts.

Pay

The compensation range for this position is: $25.00-$27.00/hour. Compensation offered may vary based on work location, experience, qualifications, specialty, training, and market and business considerations, among other factors.
