Job Overview
Ebenezer is looking for a Casual Driver to join their team in Bloomington, MN. This position drives the bus/van for SNF/AL Community, individual, and group transportation.
Responsibilities
- Completes transportation routes and duties in a timely manner.
- Maintains a log of transportation services and tasks performed throughout the driving period.
- Organizes work assignments.
- Modifies schedule to accommodate the need of passengers.
- Ensures compliance with all requirements pertaining to operation of special transportation vehicle.
- Communicates with supervisor about needed equipment and supplies.
- Provides supervisor with adequate notification of schedule difficulties.
- Follows policies and procedures of Ebenezer and state and federal rules and regulations.
- Functions effectively with limited direct supervision.
- Is responsible for the safety and welfare of passengers.
- Practices sound, safe judgment when performing transportation services.
- Knows and practices infection control procedures.
- Knows and practices fire and disaster procedures.
- Knows and practices safety procedures.
- Recognizes and acts appropriately on safety hazards and incidents.
- Responds appropriately to emergency situations.
Requirements
- Less than 1 year of driving experience.
- Valid Drivers License (in good standing).
- Medical Exam Certification.
- At least 18-years old.
- Insurable under the employer’s Auto Insurance Coverage.
- Completes and passes in-house transportation curriculum course and pass driving evaluation within 30 days.
Qualifications
- Preferred: 1 year of driving experience.
