About The Role

The Driver position plays a critical role in ensuring the timely and safe transportation of dental supplies, equipment, and other essential materials within the dental care industry. The driver will be responsible for adhering to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and maintaining compliance with safety standards to protect both the cargo and the public. Effective route planning and map reading skills are essential to optimize delivery schedules and meet tight deadlines. Ultimately, this role supports the seamless operation of dental care services by ensuring that vital resources are delivered efficiently and reliably.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicle to transport healthcare-related materials safely and efficiently.
• Comply with all DOT regulations and company policies to maintain safety and legal standards during transportation.
• Plan and follow the most efficient routes using maps and GPS technology to ensure timely deliveries.
• Inspect vehicles before and after trips to ensure they are in good working condition and report any maintenance needs.
• Cookordinate with lab personnel and healthcare facility staff to manage loading, unloading, and delivery schedules.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to provide proof of own insurance.
• Comprehensive knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret maps and GPS navigation systems.
• Familiarity with warehousing operations and transportation management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working within the healthcare or social assistance industry.
• Additional certifications related to transportation safety.
• Strong communication skills for effective coordination with team members and clients.
