Do you enjoy having fun? Do you enjoy driving? Spending time with people? If so, maybe this is an opportunity for you. We are looking for the right person to assist our residents with their transportation needs. We specialize in assisted living and memory care.

About the role

This position is parttime and includes transportation and personal escort services for our residents to and from medical appointments, driving residents on group social outings, helping to maintain our vehicles, interacting with residents, their families, and physicians, and ensuring safe practices in the transport of our residents.

Responsibilities

• Engage with seniors individually and in small groups
• Manage daily transportation schedule
• Operate different types of vehicles including 13 passenger bus, vans, cars
• Promote a calm demeanor in times of pressure
• Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and physicians
• Interact with residents that have varying levels of physical and cognitive abilities
• Develop strong working relationships and provide excellent customer service
• Adapt/respond quickly to the needs and preferences of our residents
• Understand or gain an understanding of the various forms of dementia and how to help residents with dementia live with purpose

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age
• Experience transporting individuals and groups of people
• Current negative TB test
• State required licenses for specialized vehicles
• Willingness to learn how to work in a healthcare/assisted living environment
• Ability to pass criminal record/background check
• Level-headed and non-flappable nature
• Valid driver’s license with a qualifying driver abstract
• Good time management skills
• Must be able to work well independently with little oversight

Qualifications

• Prior experience in seniors housing programming is preferred
• A passion for your work and a commitment to serving others are essential job qualifications
• Being vaccinated against COVID-19 is preferred

Our compensation package will be flexible for this role based on the credentialing, tenure and skill sets each candidate brings for consideration. The starting hourly wage range for this position is $18.00 to $24.00 per hour.
