About the Role

The Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of medications and supplies to customers and patients.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with customers and co-workers professionally and appropriately
  • Keep records of mileage, vehicle maintenance, fuel, and delivery schedules
  • Write receipts and maintain records
  • Ensure the vehicle is properly maintained (working brakes, controls, tire pressure, and fuel) on a daily basis
  • Drive safely and obey traffic laws
  • Work in a fast-paced environment
  • Drive in differing weather conditions
  • Load and unload goods and medications
  • Take direction from the Pharmacy Manager or supervisor
  • Comply with Pharmacy policies and regulations

Requirements

  • Possession of a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced setting with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent driving and parking skills
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrable dependability and customer-focused attitude
  • Basic proficiency in computer skills and/or point-of-sale machines to process payments and complete transactions
  • Access to a vehicle and proof of valid insurance
  • Ability to effectively read and interpret maps
  • No moving violations within the past two years
  • No serious traffic offenses
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time, bend, and perform lifts of up to 25 pounds

Schedule

Part-time: 5:30 p.m.–9:00 p.m., 3 days a week
