Driver

About the role

Easy Ice is a growing company providing an all-inclusive commercial ice machine subscription to businesses nationwide. We’re seeking a bright, highly motivated Driver to join our team in the Bronx market. In this role, you’ll ensure timely delivery of ice to customers on specific routes, review orders, load and unload trucks, and provide exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Pack and load ice onto truck according to company specifications
• Deliver orders to customers in a professional manner
• Break up ice, place ice in the bin, and discard bags in trash
• Maintain ongoing communication with Dispatcher
• Obtain delivery confirmation from each customer
• Ensure all ice in dispensing units is bagged and palletized
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety of the shop
• Clean and wrap equipment for installs
• Cross train with service technicians to assist with quick fixes
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle, removing all ice and trash at end of shift
• Check vehicle fluids, wipers, and tires to help maintain long service-life
• Project a positive Automatic Icemakers brand image
• Contribute to team effort by performing other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Experienced driver
• Demonstrated track record of delivering highest level of customer satisfaction
• Strong command of company’s policies and procedures
• Desire to continually increase knowledge of industries served, products, services, and processes
• Exhibit good decision making, analytical problem solving, and excellent organizational abilities
• Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with excellent interpersonal skills
• Maintain a positive, “can do” attitude
• Physical requirements:
  • Frequent standing, walking, sitting, use of ladders, and use of hands to manipulate parts and tools
  • Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 75 pounds
  • Extended periods of standing (6+ hours per day)
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Drive a vehicle for up to 60% of hours worked
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing work schedules
