Driver

About the role

Responsible for pick up and delivery of inbound and outbound to customer locations, using company vehicles at least 50% of the time. Employee driver who will operate commercial motor vehicles (vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight Range of >10,000 lb ≤26,000 lb) in the area surrounding a DB Schenker facility (within a 150 air-mile radius).

Responsibilities

• Verify shipment-bills for required information and load freight onto trucks
• Unload freight from trucks and weigh/check dimensions compared to shipper’s calculations
• Sort outbound freight between overnight and second-day and load ULD and trucks
• Deliver freight to customer location using company vehicles
• Recover freight from customer location using company vehicles

Requirements

• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must be able to pass any federal/state/local government, airport, or company-required background checks, clearances, and/or drug and alcohol tests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 2-4 years of experience preferred

Skills and Competencies

• Good interpersonal skills required
• Intermediate level position

Pay

Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.

Schedule

Back Half Nights, Box truck
Shift: Wed-Fri and every other Sat 6:00pm-6:00am.
