Driver

Job Duties

• Test vehicle equipment such as lights, brakes, horns, or windshield wipers, to ensure safe operation
• Notify lead driver/supervisor of vehicle problems
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance such as regulating tire pressure and adding gasoline, oil and water
• Running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles
• Complete accident reports when necessary
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned

Position Requirements

• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must be able to drive automatic and manual cars, light trucks, and vans (non-cdl vehicles)
• Must be available to work as assigned between 10-25 hours per week with a varying schedule
• Must be able to sit for extended periods of time (up to 6 hours or 350 miles) with appropriate rest breaks either riding as a passenger or operating a vehicle
• Must be able to do light maintenance such as regulating tire pressure and adding gasoline, oil and water as necessary to operate the vehicle
• Must be able to operate a vehicle in all types of weather and all times of day or night
• Must be able to complete all required forms
• Must be able to follow directions or follow a map

Skills & Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to get in and out of a vehicle without injury
• Ability to drive both an automatic and manual transmission

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to sit for extended periods of time (up to 6 hours or 350 miles) with appropriate rest breaks either riding as a passenger or operating a vehicle
• Must be able to do light maintenance such as regulating tire pressure and adding gasoline, oil and water as necessary to operate the vehicle
• Must be able to operate a vehicle in all types of weather and all times of day or night
• Must be able to complete all required forms
• Must be able to follow directions or follow a map
• Only light lifting is required
• Must be able to exit and enter a vehicle without assistance
• Must have 20/20 vision (with or without corrective lenses) including peripheral vision
• Must be able to hear with or without assistance
