Driver

Position Overview: Responsible for picking up and delivering freight between Service Centers and customers, supporting sales efforts, and ensuring timely and safe operations. Key Responsibilities Operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles, triples, and straight trucks.Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections.Hook/unhook trailers, handle freight with motorized/manual equipment, and secure cargo using straps, ropes, and pallets.Verify documentation, adhere to hazardous material regulations, and collect freight charges when required.Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding pick-up/delivery needs, delays, and issues.Demonstrate customer service, solicit additional business, and provide leads for sales opportunities.Follow all laws, regulations, and company policies; may perform tire chaining or duties of other operational roles as needed. Qualifications & Skills Class A CDL with double/triple, hazardous materials, and tank endorsements; automatic transmission restriction acceptable.At least one year of recent driving experience or successful completion of a driver development course.Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and compliance with DOT regulations.Ability to perform basic math, lift up to 100 pounds, and work independently or in a team.Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions. Work Conditions: Drive in various weather and road conditions, exposed to noise, vibration, dust, diesel fumes, and DOT-regulated hazardous materials. Flexibility needed for hours and operational demands.
