Driver

This role involves picking up and delivering freight between service centers and customers, supporting sales efforts, and ensuring timely, safe transportation. Key responsibilities include operating tractor-trailers (including doubles and triples), performing daily safety inspections, hooking/unhooking trailers, handling freight with equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks, securing cargo, and verifying documentation. The role requires customer communication to coordinate pickups and deliveries, and may involve assisting with tire chaining or performing duties of road drivers or dock employees as needed. Qualifications include a Class A CDL with endorsements (hazardous materials, tank, doubles/triples), minimum one year of recent driving experience or completion of a driver development course, acceptable Motor Vehicle Record, and compliance with DOT regulations. Candidates must have basic math, communication skills, and physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds. Ability to work independently or in teams is essential. Working conditions involve driving in various weather and road conditions, exposure to noise, dust, diesel fumes, and DOT-shipped hazardous materials. Some duties may require tire chaining or operational flexibility. This position offers a pay range of $32.90 - $38.08 per hour, with additional mileage pay for linehaul duties, and benefits including health insurance, paid time off, 401(k), bonuses, tuition reimbursement, and more.
