Driver

Position Overview: This role involves picking up and delivering freight between Service Centers and customers, supporting sales efforts, and ensuring timely, safe transportation. Key Responsibilities Operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles, triples, and straight trucks.Perform daily safety and pre-trip inspections.Hook/unhook trailers and handle freight using equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks.Secure freight with straps, ropes, and pallets; repair damaged freight when needed.Complete documentation, reports, and comply with hazardous material regulations.Communicate with dispatch regarding delays, arrivals, and equipment issues.Interact with customers to coordinate pick-ups/deliveries and solicit additional business.May perform tire chaining, road driving, or dock duties as operationally necessary.Follow all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. Qualifications & Skills Must hold a Class A CDL with double/triple, hazardous materials, and tank endorsements.At least one year of recent driving experience or completion of a driver development course.Valid Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and DOT compliance.Ability to perform basic math, lift up to 100 pounds, and work independently or in a team.Good communication skills and physical capability to handle freight and drive long distances. Working Conditions: Driving in various weather and road conditions, exposure to noise, vibration, dust, diesel fumes, and hazardous materials. Hours may vary based on operational needs.
