Driver

Position Overview: Responsible for picking up and delivering trailers between Service Centers and turn-point locations using tractor-trailer combinations. Key Duties: Operate tractor-trailers, including doubles and triples where applicable; perform daily safety inspections; hook/unhook trailers and convertor dollies; verify and complete documentation; maintain accurate logs; adhere to hazardous material regulations; follow dispatch instructions and communicate as needed; load/unload freight; and comply with all laws and company policies. May assist with chaining tires or perform duties of city driver or dock employee when necessary. Qualifications & Skills: Must hold a Class A CDL with double/triple, hazmat, and tank endorsements; have at least 1 year of recent driving experience or complete a driver development course; possess an acceptable MVR; meet DOT regulations; demonstrate basic communication skills; and be capable of handling trailer hookup/lift tasks. Ability to work independently, follow instructions, and demonstrate initiative is required. Working Conditions: Drive long distances in various weather conditions, exposure to noise, vibration, dust, diesel fumes, and potentially hazardous materials. Overnight stays and variable hours may be necessary.
