Job Summary: Transports patients from place of origin to the appointments in a courteous and timely manner. Position requires a high commitment to service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and return of patients as per schedule.
• Stay in contact with the office to report any change in schedule including any patient cancellations.
• Assist patients to get in and out of the vehicle.
• Assist patients with wheelchair.
• Ensure the safety of all passengers.
• Work flexible shifts as work dictates.
• Perform deliveries, Holter monitors, and miscellaneous pick-ups as needed.
• Transport patients to hospital or specialist office.
• Check and maintain van daily, ensuring it is mechanically safe and clean.
• Report any incidents or accidents to the supervisor and management immediately.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Wear company uniform.
• Utilize phone as routing system.
• Travel to assigned clinics as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Up to 1 year driving experience required; patient transportation preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Clean driving record.
• Knowledge of local streets and addresses.
• Customer service skills.
• Ability to reach, lift, carry and move objects.
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, sit intermittently and occasionally climb.
• Ability to work extended and flexible hours and weekends as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
