Driver
Position Summary
Drivers are the face of Benefast at every delivery. This role is responsible for pulling orders accurately, delivering product safely and professionally, maintaining documentation discipline, and communicating proactively. When not on deliveries, Drivers support warehouse operations. Accuracy, safety, and professionalism are non-negotiable. Every delivery is a customer interaction — the driver represents the company on every stop. Reliability, attention to detail, and initiative during downtime are critical.
Core Areas of Responsibility
Delivery Execution:
- Complete all assigned deliveries on schedule
- Call delivery contact 10 minutes prior to arrival
- Obtain signed packing slips for every delivery
- Return signed packing slips to dispatch immediately
- Post delivery confirmation in Teams
- Communicate delays or exceptions in real time
Order Pulling & Loading:
- Pull orders accurately from the warehouse
- Verify order contents before departure
- Load vehicles safely and efficiently
- Report discrepancies before leaving the warehouse
- Maintain clean, organized staging of outgoing orders
Safety & Vehicle Care:
- Perform daily vehicle inspections
- Drive safely at all times
- Maintain clean and organized company vehicles
- Report maintenance issues immediately
- Follow all DOT requirements
- Maintain DOT certification (medical card, logs, inspections)
Documentation & Communication:
- Log fuel and expenses accurately in Ramp
- Complete all delivery documentation same-day
- Communicate proactively with dispatch
- Report customer feedback or issues
- Maintain clean, organized records of all deliveries
Warehouse Support:
- Support warehouse operations during downtime
- Auxiliary tasks such as order pulling, receiving, and organization
- Contribute to warehouse cleanliness and safety
- Stay productive — find work when there are no deliveries
Daily Responsibilities
Vehicle Inspection:
- Complete daily vehicle inspection
Order Pulling & Loading:
- Pull and verify assigned orders
- Load vehicle safely
Delivery Execution:
- Execute assigned delivery route
- Obtain signed packing slips at every stop
Documentation & Communication:
- Log fuel and expenses in Ramp
- Post delivery confirmations in Teams
Warehouse Support:
- Support warehouse operations during downtime
Monthly Responsibilities
Vehicle Maintenance:
- Review vehicle maintenance needs with W&D Manager
DOT Compliance:
- Ensure DOT compliance documentation is current
Cycle Counts:
- Support cycle counts when assigned
Yearly Responsibilities
DOT Certification:
- Maintain DOT certification (medical card, licensing)
Performance Review:
- Participate in performance review process
Safety Training:
- Support safety and compliance training
Process Improvements:
- Contribute to delivery process improvements

Poor communication with dispatch or customers
Disorganized Ramp entries
Passive attitude during downtime — waiting to be told what to do
Lapses in DOT compliance
Damage to the company's reputation through unprofessional behavior at customer sites
