Essential Functions
- Drives community vehicles to different locations as scheduled by the Activities Director or Executive Director.
- This includes assisting residents in and out of the vehicle, driving the vehicle, operating and securing wheelchairs and other assistive devices properly, and making sure residents return to the community safely.
- Schedules outside appointments within specific driving radius and allotted time frame(s).
- Maintains paperwork related to the community vehicles including mileage logs, charge slips, and maintenance slips.
- P Practices safe driving habits at all times when transporting residents.
- Immediately reports all incidents with vehicles and/or residents to the Executive Director.
- Informs the Plant Operations Director when maintenance of the vehicles (including vacuuming, washing, and engine care) is needed.
- Helps with Reception Desk and Activities as needed
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have a finger print clearance card.
- CPR/First aid certified
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Have and maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license with a “clean” driving record for past three years.
- Be in good health and physically and mentally capable of performing assigned tasks.
- Must have dependable transportation and be able to work varying hours as needed, which may include weekends.
