DRIVER

About the Role

Must be able to complete a wide variety of delivery and pick-up duties including out of office deliveries and errands. The role demands a high level of confidentiality and requires reliability and responsibility with limited supervision while on the road.

Responsibilities

• Run errands to destinations including automotive plants, airports, post office, and Sam’s Club
• Cash checks and handle other facilities bins upon pickups and deliveries
• Assist with department projects when required
• Understand and follow safety and environmental regulations
• Identify safety and environmental concerns
• Adhere to Quality Systems and participate in continuous improvement
• Regular and predictable attendance

Requirements

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to write simple correspondence
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
• Valid Michigan Driver’s License or CDL
