Driver and Operations Support
About the role
Berks Career & Technology Center (BCTC) is seeking a dependable, safety-minded individual to join our East Campus team as a Driver and Operations Support employee. This position is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting high school students while also providing general transportation and operational support to the school. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent driving skills, sound judgment, reliability, professionalism, and the ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and administration.
Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport high school students
- Perform internal mail and bank runs
- Pick up supplies
- Conduct vehicle cleaning and inspections
- Assist with maintenance and custodial tasks as assigned
Requirements
Must possess a current federal Commercial Drivers' License (CDL) with valid PA endorsements for school bus and air brakes.

Pay
Starting salary is $24.00/hour, with a guaranteed $1.25/hour increase effective July 1, 2027.
Schedule
Full-time, 10-month position Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM with a 30‑minute duty‑free lunch.
