About the Role

A PRN (as needed) opportunity for a qualified, experienced Driver and Maintenance Assistant to support our building by performing general maintenance duties and safely transporting residents.

Responsibilities

  • Carefully assist residents with entering and exiting the facility bus, ensuring their safety at all times.
  • Interact professionally with healthcare professionals regarding residents’ appointments.
  • Complete checklists and maintain the van, ensuring it is clean, well-equipped, and in efficient operating condition.
  • Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of the facility in collaboration with the Maintenance Supervisor; recommend repairs, painting, and improvements to enhance sanitation, appearance, and efficiency.
  • Report any unsafe conditions.
  • Perform identified repair and maintenance tasks for all areas of the facility and grounds under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance, including checking lights, doors, and changing filters.
  • Move and store furniture without damage.
  • Stock supplies in the appropriate location in a timely manner.
  • Maintain all required logs and enter necessary information.
  • Actively participate in the QAPI (Quality Assurance Process Improvement) program, engaging residents, family members, and staff.
  • Be available to the facility as needed, including on-call shifts.
  • Demonstrate high standards of excellence in meeting resident needs and communicate effectively with residents.
  • Meet attendance requirements and complete daily assignments proactively.
  • Create a positive atmosphere for residents in alignment with our Core Values.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Prior driving experience (strongly preferred).
  • Three years’ experience in facilities maintenance (preferred).

Requirements

  • CPR Certification (required; training provided upon hire).
  • Valid driver’s license.
