Driver and Crew Member

Vehicle Responsibilities

• Inspects truck before and after trips, submit inspection reports
• Safe operation of all company driven equipment
• Report mechanical failures or breakdowns to Foreman immediately
• Follow all safety and corporate policies as outlined by the company

To Perform Work Safely and Efficiently

• Cleans and prepares specific areas of jobsite as assigned
• This may include but not limited to digging trenches, clearing weeds, cleaning up rubble, debris, and trash
• General duties performed include landscaping, irrigation, maintenance, hydroseeding, vegetation removal and installations
• Use of hand tools and small equipment when required
• Use of line trimmer, hedger, weedwhacker, backpack sprayer, chainsaw, and other equipment when required

Qualifications

• E-Verify, Background check, drug screen, & physical
• Valid California driver's license and maintain excellent driving record
• Know and understand current driving regulations and observe all safety laws and regulations
• Abide by and all safety and emergency procedures
• Act quickly and calmly in emergency situations
• Experience in commercial landscaping or construction preferred
• Experience in operating power equipment a plus
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Able to listen, understand, and follow directions
• Able to work in a variety of roles
• Able to work independently

Physical Requirements

• Be able to physically operate a motor vehicle safely at all times
• Must have physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete jobs in various areas
• Must be able to lift and carry up to and push and/or pull 50-pound loads at a time
• Must be able to work in a variety of inclement weather conditions, including heat and humidity, and tolerate exposure to dust and noise
• Must be able to stand and walk up to eight hours per day
• Must be able to walk on uneven surfaces up to eight hours per day
• Manual dexterity as needed to operate a variety of machinery and equipment

Pay and Schedule

Wage: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour

Hours: 8 hour shift

Shift: Day shift

Days: Monday to Friday
