Primary Responsibilities

  • Provides customer service-focused transportation for community residents to a variety of activities, appointments, and outings.
  • Affords assistance in resident group activities as required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides transportation for residents including: personal/small group shopping trips, to and from appointments, and for small group external recreation events.
  • Schedules vehicle trips for residents and/or life enrichment activities/events and places reminder calls of the scheduled events to residents.
  • Provides general care and preventative maintenance of community vehicles.
  • Aid residents in and out of vehicles; provide additional escort as needed.
  • Lead or assist in resident group activities as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Maintain a driving record compliant with Era Living Qualified and Authorized Drivers policy.
  • Possess basic computer skills including ability to use Outlook and email.
  • Able to communicate, read, and write effectively in English.
  • Interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Ability to pass DSHS and State background check, required.

About the Role

Era Living is seeking a full-time Driver to join the Life Enrichment team in the Lakeshore Community, South Seattle/Renton, WA. Shifts are scheduled Tuesday-Saturday, 8:30am - 05:00pm.

Requirements

  • Valid Washington State Driver License;
  • Must be 25 years’ old;
  • First Aid and CPR certified or able to obtain within 30 days of hire;
  • Complete Caregiver Dementia and Caregiver Mental Health training within 120 days of hire;
  • Must complete 70 hour course to earn a long term care aide certificate within 120 days of hire (not required if worked in boarding home setting in 2011).

Qualifications

  • Complete 12 hours of Continuing Education Credits (CEUs) yearly (completed by birthdate).

Pay

$21.80 - $23.50 per hour
