DRIVELINE CONTROLS SENIOR ENGINEER

About the role
This position will be responsible for development and testing of driveline controls software. You will work closely with the driveline systems and test engineering teams in the controls design, calibration, and testing of CVT, DCT, and Powershift transmissions.
Responsibilities
- Develop driveline controls algorithms and perform calibration tuning optimization in virtual (MIL/HIL) and real-world (dyno/vehicle) environments.
- Support decomposition of software requirements from driveline system requirements.
- Develop controls algorithms for software unit feature designs based on architectural design and software requirements.
- Create Model-In-Loop test plans to verify unit design implementation, perform MIL tests, and document results.
- Perform calibration of driveline software in dyno and vehicle environments to optimize drivability performance.
- Perform verification and validation of driveline controls software using Hardware-In-Loop.
- Ensure the use of engineering standards, methodologies, and global product development processes in the engineering team’s daily work.
- Practice software development lifecycle methodologies including ISO-26262.
- Foster an environment that welcomes and encourages new and innovative design concepts, inventions, patents, and product opportunities for improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or another relevant discipline.
- 6+ years of experience with controls/calibration development for driveline systems.
- Excellent proficiency in Matlab/Simulink for development and testing, Etas INCA or equivalent for calibration, and Vector tools for CAN data logging.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of Functional Safety and EMI/EMC is a plus.
Pay
The annual salary for this role is USD $106,725.00 - $163,645.00 plus any applicable bonus. Actual salaries will vary based on skill, experience, and qualifications for the role.
