Driveline Assembler

About the role

Neapco is seeking a results-driven Driveline Assembler to join our team at our facility in Belleville, Michigan. This position reports to the Production Supervisor and plays a key role in assembling high-quality driveline products for automotive, light truck, heavy truck, off-road, off-highway, agriculture, and industrial applications. Responsibilities

• Assemble parts at floor stations and operate machinery used in the production process with both aluminum and steel parts.
• Assemble, calibrate parts, and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications.
• Perform production tasks according to standard operating procedures and manufacturing work instructions.
• Complete tasks safely and efficiently with a focus on quality, minimizing scrap and downtime.
• Maintain productivity and quality records as required by supervisors and workstations.
• Keep work areas clean and organized, following all company and safety rules.
• Report safety hazards and incidents immediately.
• Guide, assist, or train other associates as needed.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to communicate and follow instructions regarding daily job assignments.
• Contribute to ongoing 5-S efficiencies and communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers on work assignments, production issues, and training.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision after training is complete.
• Attention to quality and detail-oriented.
• Ability to perform basic calculations and measurements.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal work instructions and safety rules.
• Reliable attendance and flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to multitask in a team-oriented environment.
• Comfort working with and around heavy machinery, equipment, and powered industrial trucks (e.g., hi-lo).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift for 8–12 hours per day.
