About the role
Neapco is seeking a results-driven Driveline Assembler to join our team at our facility in Belleville, Michigan. This position reports to the Production Supervisor and plays a key role in assembling high-quality driveline products for automotive, light truck, heavy truck, off-road, off-highway, agriculture, and industrial applications. Responsibilities
- Assemble parts at floor stations and operate machinery used in the production process with both aluminum and steel parts.
- Assemble, calibrate parts, and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications.
- Perform production tasks according to standard operating procedures and manufacturing work instructions.
- Complete tasks safely and efficiently with a focus on quality, minimizing scrap and downtime.
- Maintain productivity and quality records as required by supervisors and workstations.
- Keep work areas clean and organized, following all company and safety rules.
- Report safety hazards and incidents immediately.
- Guide, assist, or train other associates as needed.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to communicate and follow instructions regarding daily job assignments.
- Contribute to ongoing 5-S efficiencies and communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers on work assignments, production issues, and training.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision after training is complete.
- Attention to quality and detail-oriented.
- Ability to perform basic calculations and measurements.
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal work instructions and safety rules.
- Reliable attendance and flexibility to work overtime as needed.
- Ability to multitask in a team-oriented environment.
- Comfort working with and around heavy machinery, equipment, and powered industrial trucks (e.g., hi-lo).
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift for 8–12 hours per day.
