Drinking Water Conveyance Practice Leader

Responsibilities

You’ll lead the strategy, technical direction, and growth of AE2S’ Drinking Water Conveyance Practice nationwide.

  • Set and drive the national vision for drinking water conveyance and distribution systems
  • Partner with Operations Managers across multiple regions to build and scale high-performing teams
  • Collaborate with Client Program Leaders to expand relationships and win new work
  • Set the standard for technical excellence across conveyance and distribution programs nationwide
  • Anticipate and operationalize emerging trends in water infrastructure and system design
  • Represent AE2S as a recognized voice in the industry through client advisory roles, conferences, and professional engagements
  • Support major pursuits and provide technical leadership in business development
  • Mentor and develop engineers and technical staff across offices

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or directly related field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
  • 10+ years of experience in water infrastructure, with deep expertise in conveyance systems
  • Demonstrated success leading teams, technical initiatives, or practice areas
  • Established track record of developing and winning work with municipal or utility clients
  • Recognized for technical expertise and sound engineering judgment
  • Strong executive-level communication skills with clients and stakeholders
  • Experience building long-term client relationships and expanding service offerings
  • Ability to travel periodically to support conferences, project pursuits, client meetings, and other business development activities

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to walk up to 3 miles on uneven terrain
  • Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Occasionally climb, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist
  • Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull light to moderate amounts of weight
  • May require lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds, with rare lifting of up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to inspect equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects
  • May be required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to, flame resistant clothing, hard hat, and protective footwear
  • May require occasional evenings and weekends with overtime expectations varying with workload
  • May be required to travel to off-site locations including occasional overnight stays out of town

Pay

Anticipated Starting Salary: $120,000 - $185,000+ per year DOE (Compensation is subject to variation due to factors such as education, experience, skillset, etc.)
