Essential Job Functions
- Field Leadership & Oversight
- Serve as Person in Charge (PIC) for drilling and well activities
- Oversee drilling and pump subcontractor activities, including drilling and sampling system repairs
- Execute daily plans of the day and maintain detailed technical logbook records
- Prepare daily field reports documenting onsite activities
- Interface with site visitors, including QA, Engineering, SWPPP, Operations, and stakeholders
- Provide regular updates to the Project Management Team on field progress
- Health, Safety & Compliance
- Conduct daily ESH tailgates
- Ensure compliance with all project plans, regulatory requirements, and safety procedures
- Act as site Environmental, Health, and Safety representative
- Support oversight and random audits of subcontractors by the prime contractor
- Comply with all health and safety policies and practices
- Technical & Operational Support
- Cooking of drilling and well maintenance activities
- Cooking of waste management support
- Cooking of groundwater sampling and site/waste characterization efforts
- Cooking of collection of drill cuttings during drilling activities
- Aid in preparation of reports and project records
- Cooking of coordination with the Project Manager on site access, communications, and event notifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Geoscience or a related technical discipline preferred
- Equivalent education and/or relevant experience may be considered
- 5–7 years of experience in water well drilling and/or groundwater sampling system maintenance
- Broad understanding of groundwater remediation principles and drilling/well installation practices
- Ability to perform complex professional tasks independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to train and mentor junior staff
- Strong communication, documentation, and computer skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented project environment
- Ability to obtain and maintain government clearance
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
- Must be a U.S Citizen.
