Core Responsibilities
- Perform all work in accordance with the drilling program furnished to him by his superintendent or project manager.
- See all workmanship and materials meet contract specifications, the highest quality, and the highest industry standards.
- Operate and properly maintain the drill rig and support equipment assigned to the driller.
- To perform preventive maintenance and repair of assigned equipment and keep accurate records of oil changes, repairs, etc.
- Implement and follow HDPS Drilling's Safety Program, including conducting weekly toolbox safety meetings.
- Supervise and train the helpers assigned to the driller.
- Recommend hiring and firing of helpers to the Drilling Superintendent.
- Train future drillers.
- Fill out and maintain daily work reports and timecards.
- Turn in to the superintendent or office daily.
- Maintain accurate technical records, including formation log, penetration log, alignment surveys, as-built sketches, etc.
- Turn in weekly with time.
- Report daily to the customer, field representative, or HDPS's superintendent as required.
Requirements
- Legal right to work in the US without employer sponsorship.
- At least 4 years of drilling experience working with deep-well submersible pumps or deep well vertical turbine pumps.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Skills
- Proficient in operating drilling equipment.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of industry safety protocols.
