Responsibilities
- Perform job specific instruction provided by Superintendents, Blasting Supervisor or Drill Operators.
- Work safely in varying weather environments.
- Adhere to Company Safety procedures and policies.
- Submit accurate and signed Time Card to Blaster/Foreman weekly.
- Quickly learn safety aspects of working construction sites and working around explosives.
- Take direction and perform construction laboring activities.
- Work unsupervised occasionally.
- Pump blast holes dry with water pump.
- Load and unload explosives from truck.
- Carry buckets of stemming stone to stem blast holes.
- Maintain clean and organized job site.
- Participate in monthly Foreman, periodic safety and job meetings as needed.
- Participate in daily heads up safety meetings.
Requirements
- Valid Drivers License with good driving record and own transportation.
- Pass a pre-employment physical & drug screen.
- Successfully pass ATF background check screenings.
- Valid Construction Laborer experience helpful, but not necessary.
- Able to learn and develop skills to perform higher level tasks.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform essential functions of the position.
- Proficiency to work at a steady pace on uneven and loose surfaces outside.
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally, 5% of time.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, 50% of the time.
- Stooping and bending 60 – 70% of the time.
Benefits
- Pay: $20/hr with $150 per week vehicle reimbursement.
