Driller (Air, Mud, Water Well, Geothermal)
About the role
This role involves mobilizing drilling equipment for various applications for commercial job sites, performing geothermal drilling methods, and installing test wells for feasibility studies with the Geothermal team. You will ensure project safety, organization, and security, operate and maintain drill rigs and equipment, and oversee site safety for the drilling crew.
Responsibilities
- Mobilize drilling equipment including various applications within an urban and suburban environment.
- Perform geotechnical and environmental drilling methods.
- Install test wells and conduct feasibility studies with the Geothermal team.
- Ensure project safety, organization, and security of all equipment and personnel.
- Willingness to cross-train.
- Operate and care for drill rigs, machines, and other equipment as needed.
- Responsible for site safety and the safety of the drilling crew.
- Understand mechanics and requirements for drill sites.
- Hauling, lifting (60-80 lbs.), moving, loading, and digging materials and equipment.
- Requires standing and bending for extended periods of time.
- Mobilization of equipment to job site.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all elements.
Qualifications
- Active Driller's License strongly preferred.
- Active CDL strongly preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must have an OSHA 30; SST card and Flagger certification strongly preferred.
- Prior experience operating drilling equipment is a must.
- Understands and follows utility locate law and compliance procedures, safety protocols, instructions, and quality regulations.
- 5+ years of construction and/or drilling experience (either NY, NJ, CT, MA Master Drilling license a plus); NGWA certification preferred.
- Experience with geothermal heat pumps.

The hourly hiring range for this position is $50.63-$60.00 and there is eligibility for overtime for all hours worked over 40 hours per week.
Travel Requirements
Travel required 100% in the greater Northeast Region of the United States - CT, MA, NY, ME, VT, NH, NJ, MD. Must be willing to be away from home Monday through Friday & scheduled Saturdays. Lodging will be provided for overnight stays.
