About the role

The Paramedic role reviews emergency medical systems and provides support in emergency medical situations. Working under general supervision for routine situations, this position manages critical patient care and emergency response, and ensures timeliness of reports and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Counsels employees on policy interpretation to provide guidance and resolution.
• Maintains a high level of expertise in emergency medical procedures, treatments, and technologies to deliver effective patient care.
• Manages employee inquiries and troubleshoots issues requiring policy interpretation.
• Conducts reviews of emergency medical systems and protocols to ensure proper functionality and adherence to established standards.
• Ensures the quality and timeliness of reports, and records related to emergency medical services to maintain accurate records.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Required: 1 year of Paramedic experience at Carelink.
• Required: 3 years of EMS paramedic experience at Carelink Transport positions, must have 3 years of EMS paramedic or critical care transport paramedic experience.
• Required: 5 years of EMS paramedic experience and 1 year of critical care transport experience for Carelink relief paramedics.
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Licensure/Certification/Listing: Current valid NC Paramedic certification, BLS (CPR-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider), ACLS, American Red Cross or Healthcare Provider, Valid Driver's License, Emergency Vehicle Operator's course completed within 1 year of hire.
