Responsibilities
- Implement content area curricula
- Provide necessary accommodations to meet individual, group and program needs
- Implement IEPs
- Create a supportive learning environment
- Implement Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS)
- Create partnerships with parents and the Katherine Thomas School Community
- Create fun and engaging lessons
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in special education or content area (Drama)
- Must be licensed or able to be licensed as a special educator in Maryland
- Experience working with students with learning disabilities, autism, intellectual disabilities, and/or other health impairments preferred
Benefits
- Full-time annual salary range of $62,000 to $85,000, depending on experience and level of education
- Part-time position will be prorated
