Summary
The Assistant Drama Sponsor will support the Drama Head Sponsor in all aspects of producing and directing high school theatrical productions.
Responsibilities
- Conducts an equitable selection of the drama production cast.
- Affords assistance with auditions, rehearsals, and performances.
- Supervises students during practices and productions.
- Provides guidance to students in acting, stagecraft, and technical aspects of theater.
- Affords assistance with set design, costumes, and props.
- Creates a sense of belonging and a welcoming environment for all students.
- Affords assistance to students, promoting teamwork, and fostering a creative environment.
- Has knowledge in and follows the guidelines, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of Ames Community School District.
- Ensures that the student members understand the expectations of the organization, represent excellence within the school, and serve as role models for the student body.
- Ensures that a channel of continuous communication exists between the student body and the faculty and administration.
- Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient functioning of the club.
Qualifications
- Experience working with high school students preferred.

$2,869 stipend
