Drain Intern

About the role

The Ingham County Drain Commissioner’s office in Mason, Michigan is seeking an intern to assist in the development of the office’s Geographic Information Systems, inspect storm sewer and open drain systems, including televising of storm sewers, and manage data related to the county’s drainage infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the development of the office’s Geographic Information Systems
• Inspection of storm sewer and open drain systems, including televising of storm sewers
• Data management related to the county’s drainage infrastructure

Requirements and Working Conditions

• Demonstrates effective communication skills by engaging, interacting and working with all individuals to ensure clarity and understanding in all interactions.

Age and Physical Requirements

A student pursuing a degree in Computer Programming, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering or related field is preferred.
