Job Summary
The Drafter Intern is responsible for providing basic drafting support including running programs, basic design calculations, layouts, and completing standard drawings, as required.
Essential Functions
- Actively supports the Company’s commitment to safety and its “Core Values.”

- Actively participate in training.
- Research and find solutions to assigned tasks and projects.
- Exhibit ability to understand written documentation and procedures and produce layouts and drawings using those directions.
- Assist drafting staff with assignments.
- Produce new drawings. Perform basic layouts. Correct existing drawings from check prints.
- Performs additional assignments related to assigned discipline, as directed.
- Performs other duties as directed.
Qualifications
- Student pursuing a degree in COMPUTER AIDED DESIGN OR DRAFTING (or recently graduated)
- No experience required
- Experience in AutoCAD, CAD Worx, and/or Inventor preferred
- Experience in Microsoft applications
- Knowledge of ANSI drawing standards preferred
- Knowledge of detailed equipment design preferred
- General computer knowledge and skills
- Basic understanding of general math and trigonometry functions
- Ability to effectively work within a team
- High motivation and curiosity
- Demonstrates a proactive approach and consistently positive demeanor
- GPA 3.0 or greater
