Drafter II

About the role

Create precise drawings and models for premium windows, doors, and skylights used in residential and commercial projects. Translate design concepts and engineering specifications into detailed shop and fabrication drawings, ensuring accuracy, manufacturability, and adherence to Marvin and industry standards. Collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams, support design changes and continuous improvement, and help maintain documentation and drawing libraries within a people-first, safety-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate 2D and 3D drawings for windows, doors, and skylights using CAD software
• Translate engineering specifications into detailed shop and fabrication drawings
• Apply company and industry drafting standards to all documentation
• Support design revisions and maintain up-to-date drawing records
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to resolve drawing or design issues
• Prepare and update Bills of Materials and related documentation
• Ensure drawings support manufacturability, installation, and quality requirements
• Contribute to continuous improvement of drafting processes and standards

Skills

• 2D CAD drafting
• 3D modeling (SolidWorks/Revit or similar)
• Reading blueprints and technical drawings
• Dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T basics)
• Bill of Materials (BOM) creation
• Revision control and documentation
• Knowledge of building and manufacturing standards
• Detailing for fabrication and installation
• File management in PLM/ERP systems
• Basic Excel and documentation skills
