Drafter/CAD/Solidworks

About the role

Under the supervision of the Engineering Manager, the CAD Operator performs a variety of design and drafting activities including the origination of and updates to existing engineered drawings for use in our manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dimensional drawings, installation drawings, piping diagrams, and general arrangement drawings.
• Revise and update existing drawings reflecting design changes.
• Review blueprints, plans, specifications, and other customer documentation if necessary.
• Serve as an information source on planning and design of equipment and manufactured items.
• Maintain notes, design calculations, and other documentation in accordance with the document retention policies set by the Engineering Manager.
• Other duties as required relating to the CAD database.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Mechanical Drafting or CAD Design.
• Proficient with SolidWorks software platform.
• Proven organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
