- Snow/ice control
Work is performed under the direction of road maintenance supervisors and senior equipment operators during all weather conditions.
Qualifications
- Previous work experience: landscaping, construction, snow plowing, medium and heavy truck and equipment operations, or equivalent experience.
- Education: high school graduate or equivalent; associate's degree preferred.
- Valid Michigan Operator's license; must obtain a Class A Commercial Driver's License with air brake and tank endorsements within 120 days of hire.
- Ability to operate a one-ton or less, medium size vehicle, plow snow and tow a trailer.
- Ability to safely operate various types of power tools.
- Preferred to have a Commercial Pesticide Application license category 6 & 3b or able to obtain one within 120 days of hire.
Schedule
Start date: ASAP; work schedule: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday‑Friday, with potential scheduled and emergency overtime at night and on weekends. Must work a minimum of 50% of emergency overtime that is offered.
