DP Project Manager
About the role
This position is responsible for managing projects from order receipt through customer sign-off, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in alignment with customer expectations. The role coordinates customers, vendors, and internal teams; develops project scope, schedules, and budgets; manages project profitability; resolves technical issues; maintains project documentation; and ensures compliance with safety, quality, and company requirements.
Responsibilities
- Establish communication plan with customers regarding all aspects of the project.
- Effectively manage all assigned projects from order receipt to customer sign-off. This includes managing vendors, timescales, costs, margins and customer expectations.
- Develop project scope: including statement of work, budget and schedule as a project is developed.
- Complete trip reports upon completion of each site visit.
- Plan, schedule, and control activities to fulfill identified objectives applying technical, theoretical, and managerial skills to satisfy project requirements.
- Prepare detailed project schedules, including identification of major milestones, for overseeing, controlling, and communicating and managing all activities required to complete projects.
- Manage projects to maintain and /or improve project profit margin.
- Cookordination and integration of team and individual efforts to build positive professional relationships with customers, vendors and associates.
- Communicate to the customer and service organization specified product hardware or software features relevant to the installation and maintenance of the installed system.
- Ensure project activity is customer focused, results orientated, performance driven and in compliance with all applicable internal and external requirements.
- Maintain installation documentation packages (“as built“?) throughout the course of a project to ensure effective communication and file retention.
- Ensure that project implementation activities are carried out safely, utilizing environmentally sound methods/practices, and complying with all applicable internal and external safety and environmental rules and requirements.
- Consult with functional relationship parties as appropriate to resolve technical issues that arise pre-installation, during installation or during the service life of the equipment.
- Liaise with suppliers and take responsibility for their delivery performance.
- Liaise with Credit Department to ensure timely invoicing and payment.
Other Responsibilities
- Provide effective communication to the functional relationship groups.
- Serve as the escalation point for all issues relating to a project under management, ensuring effective customer communication and coordination of resources needed to resolve issues efficiently.
- Answer queries from account managers regarding project detail, timelines and progress.
- Provide visibility of all projects through Domino’s CRM software.
- Provide timely response to internal and external customers.
- Internal customers are defined as any Domino Entity; external customers are defined as any Domino customer.
- Fully participate in company meetings including department specific meetings.
- Track and enter hours worked for all activities.
- Support Marketing and Sales events including Trade Shows.
Skills & Knowledge
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Able to work with different levels of employees/customers
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office – Excel; PowerPoint and Word
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and ask for help when necessary
Physical Demands
Light work. Light work involves exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a small amount of force constantly to move objects. Pushing, pulling, stooping, reaching, gross/fine manipulation, driving, kneeling, crawling, and climbing may be required. Physical demand requirements are more than those for Sedentary Work.
