Dozer Operator

Archer Western is seeking a Dozer Operator for the GDOT SR316 Bundle 2 project in Athens, GA. The role involves operating a dozer to construct, maintain, or repair highway, heavy civil, or building structures, as well as assisting with other duties around the jobsite.

Responsibilities

• Operate a dozer to complete tasks such as clearing land, trimming backfill, and moving/transporting materials like dirt, rocks, and other aggregates.
• Understand operating procedures for loading and unloading materials.
• Perform routine maintenance, including oiling, greasing, and adjusting equipment; conduct daily safety and maintenance checks.
• Complete necessary paperwork and documentation.
• Assist with other related duties as required on the jobsite.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of operating experience preferred.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in adverse weather conditions.
• Comply with all safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors.
• Strong work ethic and desire to learn.
• Good manual dexterity; ability to stand, bend, kneel, or sit for long periods.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screening.
